A memorable offsite trip organized by ThirdEye! The entire team of ThirdEye traveled to Santiniketan, Bolpur – the land of Rabindranath Tagore and Bengal’s cultural heritage. We chose this place mainly because we wanted to explore Tagore’s work and contribution and also because our CEO Dj Das has a special emotional attachment with the bengali culture. He has been living in the USA for the past 30 years yet has always been longing for Bengal and the culture it withholds.
Last two years we have all been locked up at home because of the wavy Covid curves. Working separately brought a lot of emotional differences amongst the employees. Since we practice a family like culture at ThirdEye, this offsite tour rejuvenated the team and once again reminded us that we are “One”. The offsite was extra special because our CEO & our managing director, Punit Modhgil joined us on this trip.

We boarded the bus on 23rd December at 8 AM from our office – Srijan Corporate Park, Salt Lake, Kolkata. After 4 hours of journey via Durgapur expressway, we finally reached our destination. We stopped by at Shaktigarh to have the popular and delicious poori & lancha breakfast. The rooms in the hotel were already booked and we checked into our rooms. After lunch, we all went for shopping for the handicrafts items, made by the tribal people, at the sonajhuri “hath” (market). We saw the tribal dance and grooved with the local baul singers (folk singers).
We arranged for a musical show in the evening. It was all about the enchanting music by Baul & classical music performed by Barenya Saha and his band. The folk and romantic music made the entire team dance and groove with their music. The warmth of the bonfire made the winter night even more charismatic. The day ended with a lovely dinner.

Next day after breakfast we had our town hall from 11 AM, where Dj and Punit spoke to the entire team about the goals and vision of ThirdEye and how we are planning to grow in the next quarter. Many new benefits were announced like, the medical insurance will now be available for the entire family of the employee, paternal leave of two weeks, and a lot more. We also got our goodies, Tshirts, and ID cards.
After the Town Hall, we had our lunch and booked five rickshaws to take a tour of the nearest popular locations. After we returned, we boarded the bus back to Kolkata.
This offsite was a refreshing trip where the entire team was motivated and full of energy. We appreciated each other’s work and contribution in the growth of ThirdEye in the Townhall. It is very necessary as in the daily work hours we often forget to be grateful for each other’s help. Bridging the communication gap and also knowing each other personally is very important to execute and deliver day-to-day work. The entire team of ThirdEye awaits such a rejuvenating offsite trip once again in the coming winter. It was indeed a trip to remember!
