Knowledge Transfer for “Work For Hire” Projects
ThirdEye understands that the work performed for the Client is a “work-for-hire,” and all intellectual property belongs to the Client in its entirety. Adhering to this understanding, ThirdEye will make all efforts to ensure that the complete knowledge acquired during the course of this project will be transferred to a team as allocated by the Client.
ThirdEye has well-defined processes to:
- Comment the code exhaustively so that it’s easy for anyone else to read and follow-through
- Document the code repos location, the file structure, and the manifest of objects
- Maintain full project documentation with Sprint planning details
- Maintain architecture diagrams (as per the Client’s standards) of all systems developed
- Hold Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to ensure that the incumbent team understands the complete platform/solution/system as developed, answer any questions they may have, and ensure that they are fully on board with their understanding of the system as developed by ThirdEye.
ThirdEye would conduct these sessions after the completion of every phase or at any other time that suits the Client’s internal needs.
ThirdEye would be fully open to any other requests that the Client may make for the successful completion of the transfer of knowledge to its internal team.
